The Commis Chef assists in the preparation of ingredients required for service. They carry out all necessary mise en place in advance, including peeling and chopping vegetables, and prepare simple dishes such as starters, soups, vegetable dishes, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
- Prepare fruits, vegetables, and condiments using the appropriate kitchen equipment (mandoline, food processor, slicer, etc.)
- Properly cool food preparations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Prepare raw ingredients (meat, fish, poultry) by trimming, filleting, portioning, and other basic butchery techniques
- Open and clean shellfish
- Work with semi-prepared products when required
- Plate and assist with the service of dishes
Stock & Kitchen Management
- Assist with stock control and inventory management
- Contribute to achieving quality and cost objectives for the section
- Clean and organize the workstation
- Help clean and maintain kitchen equipment
- Participate in the cleaning and organization of kitchen areas

Qualifications
- CAP, Vocational Baccalaureate (Bac Pro), or BTS in Culinary Arts (or equivalent qualification)
- Previous successful professional experience in a similar role is required
